Design Tips to Warm Up Your Space for Winter

Design Tips to Warm Up Your Space for Winter

Although the cold weather is nearly behind us in March, this is usually the time we’re most ready to infuse some more warmth into our spaces. If you’re tired of being cold, read on for our easy and fashionable ways to warm up your space for winter.

Jewel Toned Accents

Sapphire, Ruby, Emerald, and Amber abounds as cold weather rolls in. These bright, rich colors will bring cozy luxury into your home, perfect for the cooler seasons. Depending on how much drama you’d like to add to your existing space, you can make these accents as bold or as subtle as you prefer. A jewel toned rug or accent pillow will warm up any living space.

Cozy Textures

Seasonal patterns and textures like faux fur and cable knits bring an element of comfort to any room by creating the perfect environment for cuddling. Think of your favorite things you like to wear in the winter and translate them to your home. Throw blankets are our favorite way to easily add this detail to a space (you can never have too many blankets), but textures can also be incorporated with decorative pillows.

Bring in Woodsy Elements Indoors

We already bring tall trees in our homes during the holidays, why not take a walk outside and gather your own pine cones and decorative branches? Use them as a table centerpiece for your winter feasts or get crafty with your finds and turn them into stunning window hangings. Check out Pinterest for fun craft ideas.

Swap In Floor Length Curtains

Fashionable and functional, long curtains keep heat indoors. These elegant curtains will bring drama (and warmth) to your living space. They also look flattering and can work for windows of any size, so you don’t have to worry about them not working in your space. Feel free to experiment with prints and color. Floor length curtains are a statement.
