Created as a second home for an out-of-state client, this 5,500-square-foot Westlake residence was designed to feel both elegant and welcoming. The interiors embrace soft hues, feminine details, and layered décor, creating a home suited for entertaining as well as quiet retreat. Furnishings, finishes, and accessories were selected to reflect the client’s love of color, particularly pink, while ensuring each space feels comfortable and timeless.
Custom furniture design played a central role throughout the project. In the living room, a bespoke coffee table and a brass inlay armoire were designed specifically for the space, while the library features custom bookcases tailored to the home’s architecture. Outdoors, nearly all of the furniture was custom designed, with the exception of the dining chairs and bar stools. In the guest room, custom bunk beds brought both function and style, making the space memorable and practical. Distinctive wallpaper and a dramatic illuminated wine cellar beneath the staircase with a rose quartzite floor that glows from within added even more individuality.
The result is a uniquely personal sanctuary that balances sophistication with ease, a home that reflects the client’s personality and love of design while showcasing the artistry of bespoke interiors.
